Job Summary: We are seeking a motivated and results driven Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the drayage logistics industry and a proven track record in sales. This role involves engaging with potential clients, understanding their logistics needs, and providing customized solutions that enhance their supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Identify and qualify new leads through various channels, including phone calls, emails, and social media.
  • Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with prospective and existing clients. Conduct follow-ups and maintain regular communication to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Sales Presentations: Clearly articulate our drayage service offerings to prospects during presentations and meetings, addressing their unique logistics challenges.
  • Proposal Development: Prepare and present customized proposals that meet customer needs while maximizing profitability.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to effectively position our services.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including operations and customer service, to ensure smooth execution of client contracts and fulfill client expectations.
  • Sales Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in the CRM system. Provide regular reports on sales performance and pipeline status.
  • Client Education: Educate clients about our drayage services, pricing structures, and the overall logistics process to establish trust and credibility.
  • Goal Achievement: Meet or exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs on a regular basis.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in transportation, logistics or freight forwarding (preferably with a focus on drayage or intermodal).
  • Comfortable making high volumes of outbound calls and following up on leads.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
