Job Summary:
The Corporate Finance Manager will oversee the company’s financial planning, debt compliance, reporting, and analysis functions, ensuring sound financial strategy and operational efficiency. This role will build and manage the corporate forecast model, lead the annual budgeting process, provide cash flow forecasting, and assist in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities. Additionally, the Corporate Finance Manager will be a key liaison between the finance department, operations leaders, lenders, and the board of directors, ensuring that all financial reporting and lender communication requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead the development, analysis, and continuous refinement of the corporate financial forecast model. Partner with business leaders to deliver timely, accurate financial insights that align with operational objectives.
- Strategic Planning – Support strategic projects with all levels of management and shareholders, as well as play an integral part in developing the Company’s strategic roadmap and priorities.
- Budgeting and forecasting: Manage the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals. Track performance against the budget and provide analysis on variances.
- Debt Compliance and Reporting: Ensure the company adheres to debt covenants, prepare compliance certificates, and manage regular reporting to lenders. Work with finance leadership to evaluate refinancing options or covenant modifications when needed.
- Board and Lender Communications: Prepare financial presentations for board meetings and communicate effectively with external lenders. Provide financial insights that assist with strategic decision-making.
- Cash Flow Forecasting: Monitor and project cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs and capital expenditures. Identify potential risks to cash flow and propose mitigation strategies.
- Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Assistance: Support the evaluation of potential acquisition targets through financial modeling, due diligence, and integration planning. Assist with financial reporting related to M&A transactions.
- Operations Collaboration: Partner with operations leaders to ensure alignment between financial objectives and operational performance. Provide financial insights to improve decision-making and efficiency.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years in corporate finance, FP&A, or a related role. Experience with debt compliance, financial modeling, and board-level reporting required.
- Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of financial modeling and analysis, strong proficiency in Excel and Power Point, and experience with financial planning tools such as Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, or Anaplan.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to senior leadership, lenders, and board members.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally, lead financial processes, and influence decision-making across multiple levels of the organization.
- Problem Solving: Proactive approach to financial problem-solving, including identifying financial risks and opportunities and providing recommendations to mitigate or capitalize on them.
